FC Aktobe have not played a single game at home this season during the KPL (Kazakhstan Premier League).
However, ahead of the clash against Nõmme Kalju, the club has been working day and night to have a lawn ready for the 2nd of July.
Heavy rains hitting Aktobe had delayed the works in the past weeks.
Sources of RdS have sent us a couple of meaningful and exclusive pictures (see gallery below - reproduction allowed only by quoting 'Rumori di Spogliatoio' or linking to this article).
In the first one from the 21st of June, you can see Aktobe’s stadium pitch completely without any grass, only the sand layer which is usually beneath the lawn.
In the second one, you can see garderners starting to lay the lawn. The picture was taken tonight (24th of June).
Will Aktobe stadium’s lawn be ready for Wednesday? It is a answer we will know soon since our sources believe that a UEFA delegation is set to travel to Kazakhstan on Friday to verify the status of the pitch and eventually give the nod.
If Aktobe lawn will not be approved by the continental authorities, the game will be played in the capital Astana.
