We team up with friends at OneNilUp.com to bring you another contest in the spirit of the recently held Balon D’Or ceremony.
Each Baltic FA has chosen their best goal of the season.
RdS readers had also the chance to vote for the best goal and Kristian Tiirik won the competition as he did in the EJL contest.
Kristian has now the chance to compete at Baltic level for the internations title.
Let’s see the clip about the other two contestants from Latvia and Lithuania.
Not bad uh?
RdS choice: analyzing the three goals, RdS has chosen the goal from Jurijs Źigaev as the Baltic Goal of the Year 2013.
Reason: power, acrobatics and goal vision. Jurijs opts for the most difficult option and by that catches not only the goalkeeper unprepared but also his marker who fails to close the space and prevent the acrobatic move. In the year of Zlatan’s Ibrahimovic screamer against England, Źigaevs deserves the accolade for the feat.
Tiirik second and Astrauskas third.
