Kalev vs. FC Infonet match preview

Angelo PalmeriComment

Focus on Tallinna Kalev (10/10, 12pts)
Let's be honest, the 2-0 loss in A.LeCoq against Flora was a great result. At half-time, the score was still 0-0 and it took only four minutes into the second half for Sappinen to score his goal. Daniel Meijel (the real coach at Kalev) can be proud of his side holding title-bidders for almost one hour goalless. Once in a while, the relegated side managed to leave the pitch without being ashamed of itself. The last game against Infonet will be another defensive fortress to build around Levizi. It will be hard to resist against the battering ram Manucho, however this is the last assignment of the season for the 'Kalevlased'. Next season, in Esiliiga, we might see new faces from the double team that was promoted to Esiliiga B (one tier below where the first team will ply trade).

Injuries and suspensions
The card collected by Nikita Koger cost him an earlier leave due to suspension. Up to date, there are no injured players. Heintare, Omanidze, Karpov and Butlers are all one card away from a suspension that will be spent next season wherever they will be.

Key-man: Lasha Omanidze
Provided he will play, the Georgian nr.7 can give some headache to Infonet back line risking a relaxed approach to an easy game. He is the one who can score Kalev's 30th goal of the season.

Focus on Infonet (5/10, 63pts)
Freed from pressure to deliver, Infonet have managed to put three wins in a row together and are about to level with their best season streak (4). The achievement is very likely since the opposition has conceded 137 goals this season. With Manucho looking to achieve 30 goals in Premium Liiga, everything seems set for another 'sauna' served at the expenses of Kalev. With this win, FC Infonet would close with record-breaking 66 points only at their second season in the top-flight, last season the points were 38.
Considering the gap, Puśtov will not have much to say to motivate his side apart from being attentive defensively, when and if needed, on Kalev's rare breaks. He was not too happy to be just one goal adrift Narva Trans in the dying minutes of the game last week.

Next year's target are already clear to everyone: aiming at a European spot for 2016, however, they will need something additional to overcome the limits show this season.

Injuries and suspensions
Kostantin Nahk is still sidelined by injury. No player is suspended however a few might risk to miss next season's first game: Gurtsioglujants, Melts, Aidara, Semakhin, Avilov and Harin.

Key-man: Manucho
The brace against Narva Trans can be repeated if not doubled against Kalev. He needs three to reach 30, doable.

Tactical keys
Kalev are playing home, this time they will use the bus to park it in front of Levizi. No alternative for a side who suffered so many goals. If they resisted to Flora, why not against FC Infonet? However, one man only, Manucho, could be enough. It's a one-sided game this time too.
