According to Spazionapoli, local media about SSC Napoli things, Frank Liivak is set to join the Dimaro training camp of Benitez’ first team.
‘Today (yesterday – edit) the 1996-born striker will join Benitez’s group for some luxury training in Dimaro (Trentino region, Northern Italy – edit) before joining the Primavera group.’
According to rumours received by Spazionapoli, Frank yesterday was travelling towards Dimaro with his family.
He has been spending his holidays in Tartu and we have spotted him at the Santos-Tromsoe IL Europa League game.
Frank himself told us he was going to go back to Italy during these days, however no plans were made about joining the first team as he was set to simply reach the Primavera team.
According to RdS sources, however, the young Estonian striker is actually simply reaching Naples now. Whether he will join the first team or not is not guaranteed.
One thing is certain, the Primavera training camp starts its season in Santantimo (the usual headquarters of Primavera) tomorrow.
The young squad (deprived of Luperto, Anastasio, Romano and Contini already in Northern Italy with Benitez) will reach Trentino region for a friendly tournament against Inter Primavera and Hellas Verona Primavera (Trentino Cup).
If Liivak was really invited to join his four teammates in Dimaro, it could be as a consequence of the loan of Polish youngster Lasicki to Gubbio (Lega Pro, third tier) or he might simply get some first-team training during his squad trip to North.
In fact the whole Primavera team will travel to Cogolo di Pejo (in same Trentino region) and have their own camp there between the 28th of July and the 8th of August. Cogolo di Pejo and Dimaro are a mere 17km distance from each other, suggesting the two squads will be very close.
Both Lasicki and Liivak were in the middle of a case in Estonia spurred from wrong information spread by SSC Napoli facebook page and reprised by local Estonian media.
Among others leaving Napoli Primavera, there is the talent of Gennaro ‘Genny’ Tutino loaned to Vicenza (Serie B). Many have seen him the next Lorenzo Insigne.
