After specifying that, unofortunately, Frank Liivak was never called for the first team game on Sunday (Napoli-Hellas Verona 5-1), we can now give a good piece of news.

Frank and his Napoli Primavera won the the 11th edition of the ‘Torneo Citta’ di Ostuni’ a yearly youth tournament held in the Apulia city of Ostuni known as well as the ‘white city’ in the province of Brindisi.

The Saurini’s squad reached the final against Cagliari.

Held at 9pm CET, the game prolonged until late night as the two sides equalized 1-1 at full time. It was necessary to resort to penalty kicks to decide the winner.

The Napoli goalkeeper, Nikita Contini, he was a great protagonist with two saves that helped the ‘Partenopei’ to win as Napoli managed to score all their shoot-outs.

Final result, 5-2 for Liivak & Co. and the great joy at the end of the game.

Frank can now return to Estonia glad of having conquered his first Italian trophy. Not an official one, but a trophy is still a trophy. He could celebrate in the most worth way the additional call-ups to the national team for the games against Iceland and Tajikistan held in June.
Two goals was his tally at the tournament in the southern town

Estonia will take Gibraltar on the 26th of May in A.LeCoq Arena in Tallinn. This date might mark Frank’s debut in the national team.
