The selection of the 'Best XI' from each matchday is now sponsored by Optibet, Sports & Casino .
Let's discover which was the 'Optibet Best XI' for matchday 29 as chosen by 'Rumori'
We will also take a look at the general standings*** (top5 for each role).
Goalkeepers - Śmiśko vs. Teleś
The impression is that the two goalkeepers will be battling for a place until the bottom of the season. If last week was Kalju's shot stopper to gain it, now it's Roman to get the place. The Ukrainian giant, in fact, basically saved Levadia's season when he saved Kabaev's penalty on 72' minutes. It could have been the 'amen' to Levadia's title bid since Flora won 2-1 in Paide. When a save is as much important as a goal.
Defenders - the K-defence
Kallaste-Kaldoja-Kiidron, the K-factor of the best defenders of matchday 29: two goals (Kaldoja and Kiidron) and two assists (Kallaste). When defending it's not alway all.
Kiidron's header was worth a point, whereas Kaldoja's netting almost made it against Flora.
Midfielders - crowded park
We had to make our formation with an unusual 3-4-2-1 (no one uses the 3-man defense in Estonia) considering there have been more midfielders than usual who were worth a mention.
Rauno Alliku (right winger) was the usual dangerous vector, bringing troubles to the Paide backline. Behind him, Murikhin (Sillamäe) is worth a mention even though his forays didn't help Sillamäe to clinch the 9th win in a row.
In the middle of the park Plotnikov (Trans) and Prates (Kalju). The first helped Narva to achieve a 3-0 victory in Tallinn against Kalev, whereas the second stood up from the bench and participated into the goal party (9-0 at full-time for Kalju) with a brace. Behind them, two Martins: Ustaal (Paide Linnameeskond) and Vunk (Nõmme Kalju).
Last season, his late winner against Kalju helped Levadia bringing home the 8th title. His winner in Sillamäe might be as heavy as that one: ladies and gentleman, welcome back Dmitri Kruglov.
The couple behind the striker is made up by Japanese Wizard, Hidetoshi Wakui (Nõmme Kalju) and Narva Trans' Svjatoslav Jakovlev. The former assisted 3 times in the 9-0 win and the latter put in another goal to help Trans getting closer to Paide (just one point now).
Daniil Ratnikov is behind them, although his perfomance did not help Sillamäe to get any point out of the home clash with Levadia.
Strikers - The Post(man) has delivered
On 63' minutes, Sander Post replaced Albert Prosa. On 94' minutes, in injury time, the tall man from Viljandi secured a 2-1 win away in Paide. The leading position was safe thanks to his utterly important goal. Behind him, the legendary Nunes who, after assisting and earning a penalty last weekend, entered the scoreboard from the main door with 4 goals in a row.
*** 1 point for a place in the XI and 0,5 points for a substitute place
