Paide Linnameeskond vs. Kalev match preview

Angelo PalmeriComment

Focus on Paide (6/10, 29pts)

The draw with Narva Trans before the break helped Paide to take a long breath before the final run. Paide's safety has never been under discussion during the whole season, however the recent negative streak (6 losses in a row, the worst this season) has jeopardized the gap that 'Paidelona' had stokpiled since spring. The goalless draw helped to keep the distance from Narva themselves, and the game against Kalev it's a must-win also considering that the Eastern Estonia club is travelling to Tallinn to face Kalju.

Injuries and suspensions
Apart from Andre Mägi and Joel Indermitte, the rest of the team is fully available exception made for Kaspar Kaldoja who is suspended. Based in Tallinn, the squad will travel to Paide with the following list: Palm, Kovtunovitś, Leetma, Palatu, Lomp, Sinilaid, Reinsoo, Tomson, Paur, Goldberg, Rõivassepp, Ustaal, Uwa, Vassiljev, Niinepuu, Mütt and Kõll.

Key-man: Jasper Uwa
Only three goals in the last seven games tells a lot about Paide's inability to finish. Maybe it's time to give to the Nigerian striker a bit of playing time as it could pay off.

Focus on Tallinna Kalev (10/10, 12pts)
Kalev have lost everything they could adding also a cup tie played during the international when they conceded three to Lokomotiv and abandoned also this competition. They are like watching the clock every now and then and be close to the door in order to leave as soon as possible when the party is over. This time there won't be words from Paide team to make their pride itchy.
People are already looking forward to see what Pärnu can do in top flight football.

Injuries and suspensions
The fact that they will travel to Paide without Armean and Omanidze is per se a serious thing since these have been among the best players of the season.

Key-man: no one

Tactical Keys
Very little to screen here. Kalev defensive weakness will help Paide through to the way of the goal. It will be enough to push adequately in the first 15 minutes and the result will be already secured.
