Narva JK Trans vs FC Levadia match preview

Deni DelevComment

Round 36 of Premium Liiga, last one and it has never been so tough in the race for the title. The reigning champions and leaders are travelling to Narva where they need at least a draw to clinch the title for a second year in a row. The home team, on the other hand, is also in a battle, the one for the 7th place against the spirited team of Tammeka. Who will leave the pitch with the smiles on their faces?

Focus on Trans Narva (8/10, 28pts.)

As we mentioned in the introduction, Narva players are not going without motivation in this match as their 7th position is also in jeopardy and, well, they play the reigning champions in front of their crowd. Coach Yagudin believes that they are able to get at least a point from Levadia and that they will certainly give it a try. There shouldn’t be many changes to the team that lost in the previous round to Infonet.

Key-man: Viktor Plotnikov

The 25-year-old forward made a name for himself as the top scorer in the team with 9 goals and 1 assist and he will probably be the biggest danger for Smiško’s goal.

Injuries and suspensions

Dmitri Sheviakov is the only suspended player, while the rest of the team is available for selection.

Focus on FC Levadia (1/10, 81pts.)

It is perfectly clear what it comes for Marko Kristal and his squad in the final round. A loss is something that doesn’t come to anyone’s mind in Levadia’s team and the celebrations are probably already prepared. Coach Kristal did a great job with his squad during the whole season and for the last match he will be able to field the strongest XI which means Smiško on the goal, Tipuric and Artjunin in defense, Pikk and Podholjuzin on the full-back positions. Vukobratovic and Antonov should be paired in central midfield, Omar and Kruglov on the flanks and Subbotin and Teever in the front line.

Key-man: Igor Subbotin

Definitely player of the season for Levadia, he stepped up his game and scoring when it was most needed and scored 28 goals and added 11 assists so far. Will he extend his tally? Most likely!

Injuries and suspensions
There are no injured nor suspended players.

Tactical keys

It is clear as day that Levadia will push from the very beginning and try to score an early goal that will break their opponent, however, Narva proved many times this year that they are capable to do damage down the flanks on the counter so the reigning champions should be especially careful.
