Another loss for Blackpool FC as last night they took former Premier League act, Watford, the club owned by Italian entrepreneur, Giampaolo Pozzo (already owner of Udinese Calcio).

Jose Riga’s men managed to resist 68 minutes until Matej Vidra converted a penalty conceded by MacMahon’s fouling.

Blackpool had the just to pull level from the 11 meters on 81’ minutes, but Nile Ranger hit the post and missed the chance for Blackpool to try and clinch their second point in the Championship.

Sergei Zenjov started on the bench and came off on 86’ minutes to replace Polish Tomasz Cywka. It seems like Riga is trying to use Zenjov as a weapon for the final minutes of play.

In fact, the nr. 20 had a great chance two minutes later when he headed a free-kick sent into the box (see gallery).

On injury time, he also served an assist to MacMahon from corner. (see gallery) The defender's right-footed shot missed the target.

Blackpool are still lagging behind with one point together with Fulham but enjoying a better goal difference (-7 vs. -10). In 10 days, on the 27th of September, they will host top-of-the-table club Norwich (16 points). Before that, they are awaited in Brighton on the 20th to clash with Brighton & Hove Albion FC, the team coached by former Liverpool defender, Finnish Sami Hyypiä.
