Last week, Tammeka’s website communicated that one of their players, 17-year-old Markus Jõgi, was heading to Czech Republic for a trial at the local U-21.
According to Rumori sources, these trials have been organized by who seems to be Jõgi’s agent, Czech operator Martin Koiś (owner of GT Scouting & Consulting)
Apparently, the trial did not have any remarkable result for Markus as the club officially communicated his return tomorrow (30th of September) on their twitter account.
Estonev Jögi Markus je ve Slavii na testech. Zitra odleta zpet domu na sraz repre do 19 let. Drive byl na testech i v Aston Ville.— SK Slavia Praha (@slaviaofficial) September 29, 2014
Notwithstanding his young age, Markus has been collecting already 12 appearances in 2014 Premium Liiga and made 5 starts. He enjoyed the Tammeka’s policy on implementing the local youth in the first team since the club was ‘refounded’ last winter (full story here).
In the past, he tested at the Aston Villa academy when he was only 14 and played in the Tammeka U-17.
Markus will turn 18 tomorrow (30th of September).
Rumori takes the chance to wish him ‘palju õnne sünnipäevaks!’.
