Rimo Hunt might soon be followed by a lot of country fellows in the far land of Kazakhstan. After having his contract renewed by Kaysar Kyzylorda, he will spend another year in the Central Asian Republic.
Sergei Mośnikov is testing at FC Tobol and Artjom Artjunin is also heading to Kazakhstan to a non-specified destination.
The latest addition is Estonian international, Dmitri Kruglov.
The 95-time capped left winger is testing at Shakhter Karagandy.
He already played in a friendly game against a German team (see picture on the right). The opposition was SG Sonnenhof Großaspach (3rd German tier) and Shakhter won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Mihret Topcagic, recently in the interest range of Serie B club Spezia (ITA)
The club founded in 1958 made a name for itself when they reached the 2013-14 play-offs against Celtic Glasgow only to lose 3-2 on aggregate after winning 2-0 in Kazakhstan.
They also hit the headlines for sacrificing a sheep ahead of the fixture against the Scottish powerhouse. A gesture that attracted UEFA’s attention forbidding them to repeat the grisly event unless they were ready to face strict sanctions.
