It’s official, Irakli Logua is back to Flora!
After leaving the club at the end of his contract, he has returned to Estonia and signed a contract with the white-green striped. The club did not reveal the length of the contract keeping it confidential.
‘’I’m very happy to be back to Estonia and to wear the FC Flora shirt’’ declared the 22-year-old Dinamo Moscow offrspring to the Flora webpage. ‘’Last season, it was the best of my career and in my heart I was hoping to come back here’’ declared emotionally the Abkhazian born striker ‘’I look forward to the start of the new one and I hope to be even more useful for the team’’.
Irakli’s departure from Estonia was a bit sad as it happened soon after he got injured during the warm-up of the Levadia-Flora Estonian Cup tie (2-0 for Levadia). Irakli has totally recovered now and he has been training in Moscow at a non-specified location. He might already be employed as a substitution in the friendly game against HJK on Wednesday the 12th of February (info about game here) if he will be positively assessed by the coaching staff.
Irakli was voted as 4th best striker by RdS readers back in November (poll results available here in the old platform), right behind Rimo Hunt, Vladimir Voskoboinikov and Serbian Stefan Tripkovic.
In the ‘Best Foreigner’ category, readers voted him 4th behind Italian Damiano Quintieri, French Kassim Aidara and Japanese Hidetoshi Wakui.
FC Flora fans elected him as the best Flora player of 2013 season.
With Logua added to the squad, the frontline of Flora gains further unpredictability and fantasy.
