Fabrice Elysée Kouadio, better known to Estonian football fans as ‘Manucho’, will continue his career in his home continent.
In fact, he has signed a 2,5-year contract with Algerian side Union Sportive Medina Alger (for those keen with Arabic alphabet: إتحاد رياضي مدينة الجزائر ) simply known as USMA.
The club is based in the capital of Algiers and was founded in 1937 and plays in Algerian Ligue 1 (top-flight).
They are currently second on the table (16 clubs) two points adrift from tableleaders Mo Bejaia and will resume playing on the 20th of January.
‘L’USMA’ has won the title 6 times and managed to reach the CAF Champions League semifinal in 2003.
The current owner of the club is Algerian businessman Ali Haddad, CEO of ETRHB Haddad (construction company). He acquired the club in 2010 when Algerian football was professionalized and the club was put on a public offer.
The amount of the transfer fee has not been disclosed.
According to our sources, the club showed interest in Manucho already for a long time since they tested the player during a training camp that took place in Tunisia last weekend.
