He has been a teammate of both Levadia players, Aleksander Dmitrjev (at FK Neman Grodno - BLR) and Dmitri Kruglov (FK Revan – AZE).

However, one curious episode of his career is tied with his stint at Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt.

Season 2008. Pecha had moved from FK Senec (SVK) in the Winter transfer window.
It’s the 7th of May, the last matchday of the Liga I, the Romanian top-flight.

Ceahlaul needs either a draw or a win to retain the tier against Universitatea Craiova.

Game starts promisingly for Ceahlaul playing away as the topscorer, Dejan Rusmir, opens the score on 14’ minutes. However, before the half-time whistle, Universitatea bags two (26’ and 42’ minutes) thanks to Mihai Dina’s brace.

On the whistle, Ceahlaul is relegated.

It takes 26’ minutes into the second half for Dejan Rusmir to pull level and bring back his side to Liga 1.

However, the drama still has to unfold.

On 85’ minutes, when the achievement is 5 minutes plus injury time (2) far, the unexpected happens.

In the attempt of clearing the ball, goalkeeper Catalin Multescu hits Ivan Pecha who scores an own goal (***)

3-2

At full-time whistle, Ceahlaul is relegated.

Notwhistanding the unlucky episode, Pecha managed to earn his contract with BATE Borisov during the Summer of 2008 and play in the Champions League (few minutes in the 2-2 draw against Juventus).
