It’s official, Sander Puri has agreed terms with Sligo Rovers and will play in League of Ireland for season 2015.
Sander Puri will wear jersey nr.12
Sligo's manager, Owen Heary, was impressed by Puri's performance in the 3-1 win against Shelbourne and told Sligo Rovers website the following.
'He's a good player, I'm delighted to have signed him. He has great ability, he has a good touch, he has pace. I think he can bring a lot to the club. He's an international player, and it's great to have him here. He's a very professional lad so hopefully he can bring that level of professionalism to the club', he said.
'It's a good opportunity for him, if he does well then people will start to take notice of him, whether it's in England or at home in Estonia at an international level. As we saw from him last night, for the first five or ten minutes he was just getting a feel for the game but then when he came into the game we saw he was calm under pressure, he struck the ball well under pressure. He also put in a few great crosses and Dinny Corcoran scored from one. He's a great addition to the squad.'
