The Estonian Champions are working to a new defence for season 2015.
The back line has deeply changed in the last year and a half. First Jahhimovits departed due to the matchfixing scandal (his suspension is now over and tests with Sillamäe), then it was time for Kulinits to have his contract terminated and last Podhljuzin was also hit by a long suspension for the same reason. Artjom Artjunin, instead, will continue his career in Romani at FC Brasov (full story here)
Additionally, Levadia have decided not to prolong Tipuric’s contract.
We shall not forgot to mention also Ukrainian Volchkov who was purchased in Summer 2013 and loaned out to Lokomotiv in the summer after (now he is at Narva Trans). Furthermore, youth product, Madis Vihmann, left for city rivals FC Flora (Levadia's transfer news are available here.
An emergency situation appears when season kick-off is about a month away.
Kristal had already the chance to test Ivan Pecha, a Slovakian centre back (full story here) and now, according to our sources, he will have a chance to check also a Slovenian player, Matej Centrih (picture).
The 26-year-old central defender has spent his last season at two clubs. First NK Celje (where he was sidelined by an injury) and then NK Radomlje, both Prva Liga clubs (Slovenian top-flight). He can also play as a full back which would give Kristal an alternative for the right corridor.
He has scored one goal in season 2012. His last competitive game was on the 6th of December when NK Radomlje (bottom of the table) visited Champions League side NK Maribor losing 4-1.
Centrij was sent off due to double booking on the 77’ minutes.
According to local observers, he has a chance to have an impact on Estonian Premium Liiga.
