LATEST ON TAAR: could he move to Scotland?
Albert Taar is on trial at Norwegian club Kongsvinger IL, Norwegian 2.Divisjon (third tier) club. Albert Taar was at Wisla Plock until June 2014 before becoming free agent.
The club states on its website via its sport director words: 'Albert can cover all roles in midfield. He has played in Poland at a high level. We've seen some games of his on video, but we want to look at a little closer to get better acquainted with him. He will initially train with KIL Wednesday and Thursday’.
In season 2013 Albert played in Narva Trans before leaving the Eastern Estonia club in February 2014. He collected 34 games with Narva and has scored 7 goals, earning a couple of call-ups with Estonia U-23.
The Polish club offloaded Taar and other four players: David Abramovich, Thomas December, Luke Sekulski and Janusz Dziedzic.
Kongsvinger IL are 3/14 on the table with 25 points in 13 games. The club was founded in 1892 in the omonymous city (82km from Oslo) in the county of Hedmark, southern Norway.
Their last season in top-flight (Tippeligaen) was in 2010.
They can boast a European game against top club Juventus (1993-94 UEFA Cup) as they lost 3-1 on aggregate against the Italian powerhouse holding them on a scoredraw at home (1-1).
The club has never won any domestic silverware.
